Worth bearing in mind that COZ has got one thing over Tassal in its early days: like Roger Ramjet, they've found a 'magic pill' to help supercharge their growth.

The company is in a relationship agreement with the CSIRO, who developed the revolutionary Novaq product about a year ago.

The issue with fish farms is that the feeds used in aquaculture rely on wild caught fish as an ingredient. Prawn feeds typically contain wild fish in their formulation, and so every year a large proportion of the fish caught in the world's oceans is ground up for use in aquaculture meal, therefore somewhat defeating the point of farming prawns in the first place.

Novaq is the world's first fish free prawn food, and so provides a solution to issue of sustainability.

Surprisingly, earlier this year CSIRO scientists found that there was an added bonus: the prawns fed the fish free food grew as much as 40% faster, and appear to be healthier than those fed the meal used previously.

Given the relationship this company has with the CSIRO, you would assume that they would now be in prime position to benefit from this pioneering biotech.
