Fully understandble...I typically take a little off the table with most stocks I hold when they see significant rises...then I hold the rest till the next landmark price is reached, where I let a little bit more out...and so on.

Well done for holding through the "dark ages" though, it can be very lonely when the market passes you by.

Having "carry on" money as you call it, can help with the nerves when traders take hold of such a stock and knock it from pillar to post as they do.
