re: appears to be finding early support... - t4p?
Hi you all, First time I have seen this website. Its fun. I live part of the year in Perth and part in Amsterdam. In my previous life as stockbroker I recommended SOO in the Netherlands and as a result, five months ago about 50% of the stock was held in the Netherlands. This changed when a good friend of mine retired in September last year as a pension fund manager of Unilever in Rotterdam As always happens the new portfolio manager has his own ideas when it comes to investing and as a result 11,5 million shs SOO were dumped into the market. You might have noticed the volumes in the stock before the Germans came to our rescue were absolutely minor compared to the 11.5 million shs that had to be sold by Unilever. This explains why the shs dropped from 35cts to a low of 18cts. It had nothing to do with the company. I think Unilever has been the consistent seller in the market the last couple of days and must have got rid of the balance of their 11.5 million shares. If Unilever would not have been the seller, the stock would have been way over 40cts now. This is not inside information, because Unilever was known as their major shareholder. After having spoken to my old clients who bought the stock in the past I can tell you they are all very happy and are long term holders. As far as I am concerned I have to admit I sold some stock into the german buying, but who wouldnt. Germans and Dutch have got past differences and this is not only soccer. I hope to buy them back today at lower prices.
