The current growth in sales doesn't reflect the increase in growth we should experience by releasing new products this year. It looks like they will include a water proof watch and a pet tracker. The waterproof watch should give us a boost in watch sales and will also help with our competitive advantage over other products. Watches are only waterproof until the battery needs changing and then if you want it to stay waterproof, you have to pay extra for it when changing the battery. That's not a problem though when you have a rechargeable battery like Spacetalk has.
The pet trackers are an interesting idea. They could be cross sold to existing app holders who I would imagine won't have to pay any extra for the app but we get the profit on the sale of the device. This would then extend the length of time the consumer keeps the app on their phone. For example, if a child grows out of their watch phone but the parents also use the app to track a pet, the app life for that user may be extended from 3 or 4 years to 10 plus years. Potentially much more than 10 years if they get a new pet to replace a pet that has died and want to track that new pet too. They may also increase the number of apps out there as some consumers may buy the pet tracker without already owning the watch. These seem like a great idea to boost both unit sales and recurring app revenue and to extend the app life for individual users.

"Mr Fortunatow said MGM Wireless was already working on the next versions of the device and was “expanding into a whole range of family wearables” including waterproof watches, home alarms and pet trackers, all integrated into the same platform."
