Like you, as I wrote before, if Shell walks away (here is hoping) I belive that the price will remain constant because true investors do know what the real value of our Company is.
Not many CSG Companies (if any), that are still in Australian hands can match what AOE has now, and the plans that it had to expand even further and export the FIRST LNG from the CSG out of Australia in a JV with LNG, was a deciding factor to determine and show to everyone which way the Company was heading. Hence why Shell made the move, and God only knows what sort of pressure they put upon the Management at the time to accept the offer. To tell us one day not to make any decision and to not accept the offer, and then so suddenly (acouple of day later, lol.) telling us to accept the offer, begs some answers. Hence why I am very concern at the continuing silence from them.
Have a look at today's announcement. It was supposed to be made by the Chairman, and for all the enquiries, if any, we were referred to everyone else, but the MD or the Chairman himslef. Why...???? (Unless I missed something of course).
I am also positive that, if Shell was to walk, the Management could turn to the Chinese directly and get funding on an offtake agreement to go ahead with the LNG plans they had planned for. The Chiness's loyaltie lies where there is something in it for them. Believe me. And, if it all failed with them, I am sure that the Japanese, the Koreans, and even the Malaysians would be quickly ready to jump into bed with us when they are so hungry for LNG.
I hope that not many holders sold out because if they did, we would have a battle in our hand to retain a majority NO VOTE. But, IMHO, it is all worth waiting for. After all as the saying goes, until there is life there is hope, and with another few months waiting, anything can happen.
As for the nervous nellies, I have got this to say to them. Just be patient. We have got an offer on the table already and no one can take that away from us. And to top it all off, the offer is worth more than what someone has been selling out for. To simply fall for the play that is going on with shorters and the people interested to keep the pressure on, is,IMHO, a little bit silly. A little bit like throwing the towel into the ring, before the fight has even started. Is it not....?????
And another thing. Why on earth NAB increased their holdings..??? Think about it.
Good luck to all,
Buddy
