People are laughing at AOC's complete ignorance of economics and international relations (despite having a college degree in that very subject!), and her bizarre 'fake news' predictions (e.g. the world will come to an end in 12 years) and the demands of the Green New Deal (that, among other crazy things, would ban all airplanes and cows because they fart apparently), BUT she is a disrupter of significance, and she will continue to destabilise the Democrats into the next series of Primaries (she's already challenged Pelosi's authority), shifting it farther left into socialism, the last thing the Democrats needed as they struggle to regroup after the shock of Trump's election. But this is the humour thread, so let's not get carried away with US politics (though I do watch it closely simply because it is so entertaining).
