Tawny, you are also omitting another key factor in geothermals in Australia - power lines. At $1.25M per kilometre for a power line, and efficiency losses, Geodynamics' project out in woop-woop will be copping a significant flogging when Capex comes up. So its swings and roundabouts to my mind; less oomph right next to Olympic Dam, or more oomph from your geothermal reservoir in an area where, to reach market, you need to pay off $600M of power lines instead of, oh, ~$15M.
