Well i just returned from a South Seas Cruise [lucky me] in time for the AGM. SP went way up on Ciba ann. and crashed after AGM. Were people trading on the predictable good news ann. pre AGM?

I went to the AGM this year as BOS typically reports nothing about it.

All in all I found it dispiriting. The directors looked bored and info was scant.

The exciting ann. from Ciba was not mentioned except in answering a question from the floor. A director tersely said the duration of the effect of the PVC+compound was limited and needed work.

Lenses were clearly off the table. So much for my hope that Ciba could lend a hand with a useful biomaterial.

    Oil and gas.
Mass production of compound soon in India or China. Compound is more expensive that existing biocides - read low margins - but may be more effective, particularly in dislodging formed biofilms.

Oil and gas compound likely first use in Indonesia, China, Middle East where regulation is less strict and quicker.

    No sales before 2009.

Spin-offs and new directors halted pending further funding. Unspecificed amount of private funding being sought in California.

BOS being marketed as a CleanTech company.

Hopeful near-term projects such as Dental trials and oil cooling towers were not discussed in any meaningful way.

BOS compounds seem to work in solution, but not when applied to a material.

Taylor Collison report provided at AGM shows estimated 50% decline in total revenue FYO8.

At est. $1m/qtr cash burn and $2.6m cash as at 30/9/07 BOS really needs the cash.

At the moment I don't see BOS announcements as being timely or comprehensive. Particularly the Ciba ann. just before the AGM.

I am a big BOS fan, but I left the AGM a worried man.

BOS for me remains a long-term prospect.
