    - Did management comment on the CIBA announcement in any depth re: how did they assess the importance of the results achieved by CIBA?

    They only reiterated that the results were fantastic, and that CIBA is entering the product development phase. Obviously it's an important milestone and has triggered some cash payments - but management is nice and tight lipped about wild forecasts etc.

    - The success achieved by CIBA related in part to the attachment process ie the compound was formulated into PVC plastic which completely inhibited growth of micro-organisms on surface. Did management comment on whether this success is transferrable to other areas of research eg contact lens and medical instruments (catheters) where problems have stalled the commercialization of the BOS compounds.

    This wasn't discussed, but form what I understand, the difficulties with lenses wasn't attaching the compounds, it was getting them to work with the tear film amidst the protein deposition. But I don't see why it wouldn't transfer to say, urinary catheters which I imagine could easily be made out of clear flexible PVC.
