Yes, I picked up equal $ amounts of IRI, MTU, ALU and TNE in late 2008 when the market seemed to have stopped falling. MTU was the best performer for a number of years, then it was IRI and now its ALU. I still hold all except for MTU which I sold in early 2016 when it merged with VOC (I didn't like the level of debt). All have been 10 baggers with ALU now being a lot more. I nearly gave up on ALU in 2011 when it fell to around 25% of what I paid for it.

I suspect it will some time (6 months to 2 years) for IRI to recover its mojo with a new CEO but I won't be selling unless something fundamentally wrong emerges - and that seems unlikely. IMHO all three would be good in a granddaughter's growth portfolio.
