There is someone currently offering to sell 29,000 M2 shares at $1.75 while a buyer is offering to buy 22,778 at $1.80. Quite bizarre unless the seller is desperately in need of cash and wants to be sure he sells all his shares quick. The seller is apparently prepared to needlessly lose money to get some cash. I doubt it's price manipulation. The price of M2 is still being determined by buying and selling of relatively small parcels as people take gains. The end of year dividend should be 6 cents and then if the 2011 year dividend is 14 cents or more the price should go above $2. There's a fair amount of uncertainty in the telecom industry so I guess people are taking capital gains from M2's recent growth so the price will continue to fluctuate. A $2 price may only come with the expected 14 cent or higher dividend in 2011. I'm happy to hold for the great fully franked dividends. There's nothing to suggest they won't continue.
