The proposed sale of its stake by Ivanhoe of SouthGobi to Chalco reflects RIO's priority.

RIO bought into Ivanhoe purely for Oyu Tolgoi.

Given that Oyu Tolgoi needs $4.6b to develop. RIO will need all the money it can get to pay for it, inc. the sale of SouthGobi and IVA.
