extracts from the annual report …………….A significant post balance date activity was the acquisition of Mine Assist Pty Ltd and its associated company Pump Assist on 31 August 2006.
(We have included a specific section on Acquisitions following this Managing Director’s Report.) This company which is based at Singleton in the Hunter Valley provides a range of environmental and industrial services principally to the resource sector, but also to the power, transport and energy sectors. This acquisition will add approximately $4 million in additional revenue this financial year and is expected to provide up to $800,000 of additional profits in the year to June 2007…………...
………..Since the balance date, Engineered Solutions has booked an additional $1 million in new gas cleaning work and has a list of medium to long term prospects in excess of $40 million, of which 10 to 20% is expected to be converted to revenue during the coming year……………..
………………With the acquisition of Mine Assist and the growth of our Resource Sector Services Division, together with continued strengthening of our existing business, 2007 will be a year where as a group, we return to significant profits.
By 2008 the outlook continues to be positive. We are focussing on our core business in areas where we have demonstrated advantage and the ability to generate significant returns. We will continue to grow both organically and through acquisitions in order to increase market share and recurring income......
