Didn't think I'd ever see you back into the truly speculative end of the market. As a former holder like yourself "welcome to the dance".

I think I might be included in the group labelled as "resident downrampers" - as clearly I don't think the stock as any value as a fundamental investment. That's not to say you can't make money trading this stock as a noted negative downramper (i.e the double makes him/her an upramper) has previously done.

Dwelling on the past? How many times have you seen mgmt tout there past successes? ALL THE TIME. I mean come on, its all part of the story (as it should be as why go into business saying your an abject failure at it ... we shall NOT list some names of previous boards/mgmt we both held in the past for fear of the defamation card). I simply say be aware of the past and try to determine what is different.

Look closely at how as you say "they have survived the carnage". I wont go into any details.

Look closely at the real fundamentals of the company (don't concern yourself on macro conditions such as oil price ... figure out what this company needs to make a sustainable profit to develop the field) and what assumptions are being used.

Look closely at the expectations put out ... do they stack up in reality (and by reality I mean actual observed results here, there and everywhere).
