That is harsh, judgemental and naive. Some of us thought we were doing a good thing by the environment, helping to reduce the need to log old-growth forest (now we know that such monocultures are not such a great idea). We also thought that it was a simple thing to plant a tree, watch it grow and sell the timber. The prospects for a good, stable return seemed good. Many of us also bought into the largest agricultural businesses in the country, because we did our homework and wanted a secure investment to provide for our retirement or our children's education. You have a lot of nerve saying that to people who made what at the time seemed like a wise decision.
