Jemma - have have held DVN for 14 yrs. They were a magnificent dividend stock for many many years, but just prior to the Leightons involvement (of which I also held), they have been pummelled re: share price and have not really recovered. The PE and DIV return was one of the best companys on the ASX (imo), but not now. A smart investor (of which I am not) would have sold DVN a few years ago, but they do appear to be on the improve re: results and the share price is very slowly rising. I am still holding - but unfortunately for me I have held because of past good results, and need to look forward, but they are historically cheap, so abit of research and if you are comfortable - they might be a good buy for you. Q: Does anyone know the real reason why David Devine left?
