the only reason people may choose to shop at Aldi is because of their 'stand alone' convenience. no need to go to a major shopping center.

look-let's face it- the quality and price is the same as Coles/Woolies generic brands.

to start with, they make you return shopping trolleys because it saves them heaps on collection costs.

they don't supply plastic bags unless you buy them which are too big for bin liners anyway- good angle when they say they are environmentally conscious, but what they really want is a double whammy- buy Aldi bin liners and take away your 'homebrand' product in our special big Aldi bags supplied at the checkout for a small sum of course.
then, they have problems with your credit card at checkout- you will be forced to pay a fee for this simplest of transactions.
then you finally ask yourself- do i get any rewards or petrol discounts for all this effort?

no way old mate-all the hoodwinked profit goes back to the motherland, without one skerrick of accountability given to the OZ populace about their profitability.
