Yes the Butternut tends to be easier to skin and usually attracts a premium. As for taste I think you can
get good and bad in both varieties. It depends on how well a particular farmer grew his/her crop.
The Kent I got yesterday is delicious and helped by the master chef that cooked the soup to perfection.
