that"s interesting- the only available pumpkin last week at Coles for 80c/kg was Butternut pumpkin.
today, i was amazed that the pumpkin on offer was only Jap pumpkin at the same price-80c/kg.
sure i only make soup- but the Butternut is so much easier to carve up into pieces.
not really sure if there is a difference in taste anyway, but it is still food for thought.
