It was made clear last night that the "right" person for the selling job(s) is critical, and there was some reference to the notion of "fail quickly". So I got the distinct impression that if you don't fit into that work environment or you don't meet their needs, fail quickly and you'd be shown the door.
BTW Ian considers his role is in large part a salesman. First and foremost is his "support for staff" and secondly a sales role. He owes a lot of his sales skills to mentoring(?), advice from Graham and Rob (nea connections). After all, life is all about selling/influencing.
