Completely agree with kmac...after attending the fireside chat...I would add to kmac that he is completely honest with himself and to shareholders...no spin or painting a rosy picture that does not stand up to scrutiny.
In relation to the points that he made from the chat that was asked by posters;
He said that they are up to the execution phase ...penetrating the markets....they have currently 2 salesmen in Australia and a new sales exc in USA..."channel sales" meaning that they have figured out that penetrating the market is by contact with "catcher companies"ie those companies capturing the data,and then working closely with the catcher companies and their clients to be introduced to the niche market that 3DP sits in.Previously the catcher companies would just hand the data over to their clients and let them run with it.
I would say they have a marketing strategy...making sure they have the right salesman for the job...they do not want a big sales team and waste shareholders money when they discover they are not quite right for the job.They would rather find out if one salesman fits the bill rather than going back to the market for more money and thereby losing credibility.Ian is doing part of the contacting of customers in the USA and knows this is not an ideal situation and eventually the USA market being so large may require a shift.In my opinion Ian although trained originally as an accountant is the perfect sales person,open approachable,intelligent,and with plenty of skin in the game.
Ian spends a lot of time on linkedin and twitter getting the word out and establishing contacts.
MRR quotes and tenders are being done from small,medium and large businesses. CFP is fairly close.
There is no competition in this space...unique...patents pending but no pressure to finalise the patent application and therefore no threats.
