As a set time was not stated I assume they mean by close of trade that day, not the moment the clock ticks past midnight and the day commences. Once deal is done, if it is done, I would imagine ABC will provide the information to the ASX for the announcement to be made. I don't expect the ASX to work out of normal business hours so lest wait and see what happens this morning. I don't think you can expect to see it made public via the media before the ASX is informed
