My sentiment is the longer it takes to reach a decision the more amount of checking is being done before the ruling is given. The court will not rush their decision but it does measure it's performance to ensure cases are heard and decided in a timely manner.
My instinct says the longer we wait the more profound the decision will be. Will judge give grounds to appeal ? If we're talking setting a precedence then for sure, but the judge will also realise that the minister for resources will use this to block due process and with state elections in the horizon realise allowing an appeal will punitive to the plantiff if he rules in their favour. But appeal or not if the judge rules in favour of lko it's a step closer to being resolved even if the defendants are given leave to appeal
