I was there and said what I have been saying here for a while about this unsupportable deal. They thanked me for my questions without answering then moved on. JT was there but I don't know if Holy was ... he didn't identify himself or seek me out.
It was a VERY rancourous meeting and Langusch did not handle himself very well at all in the light of a barrage of attack from a lawyer representing OXX who completely dominated proceedings. The former board members were ther and I talked to them before and after the meeting. Under repeated questioning Langusch REFUSED to say why the board thought this was a good deal for OIP shareholders .. simply refering to previously distributed info from the IE etc. The fact is it is NOT a good deal.
One misconception we had was that 75% was required ... as these were "normal resolutions" and not a DIRECT vote on the scheme.
I have to say that I am disillusioned with Langusch, Morton (particularly) and in fact with ESG's role in all of this.
My impression was that there will be a legal challenge by OXX .. so more to come!
JT .. wouldn't have missed it either .. but disappopinted that I missed the other meeting i had at the same time.
