Meanwhile, the navaratna company is also stepping up work on Legacy Iron Ore, which also happens to be NMDC’s first overseas acquisition. “It (Legacy) has some big assets. We will be conducting the feasibility study sometime next year and within the next two years, exploration work should begin,” he said.
NMDC is already doing some minimum exploration work at Legacy, Kothari had said earlier.
