    It makes a lot of sense for Vodafone/HTA to somehow get into the fixed line business and iinet and TPG to be in mobiles.
    iinet are probably too small to buy Vodafone.... TPG although much larger would also struggle with such a large acquisition. A merger would make a lot of sense for both parties..... but at what cost...

    Its interesting days..... TPG and a Vodafone/HTA merger..... you would think they would come together somehow in the future...

    At this point in time TPG acquiring Vodafone/HTA would still be a massive gamble.
    and I think TPG are the only ones close to being large enough to do the acquisition... Other than Optus...
    TPG are still relatively small, and the amount of capital needed very large...
    Screw it up and both companies become fire sale material
    The prize however is huge, if executed well.
    Something the boards of TPG/HTA/VOD would all be acutely aware of.
