I was chatting to Ian about this up at Noosa. The way he explained it, older furnaces are fairly limited in how much anthracite they can mix in with their coke. Newer furnaces aren't nearly so constricted, so can add more of the cheaper anthracite into the mix. Using more anthracite uses more power, so there is an optimal point for each particular application as to how much anthracite to add to the mix.
I read somewhere a couple of months ago that China is undertaking a process of replacing older, inefficient furnaces with newer ones, so, whilst not being stated as a target market for ZYL, it does seem to offer some interesting potential for us down the track. I'm pretty sure Ian fleetingly mentioned China in his Noosa presentation....but I'd have to double check that.
