    That’s the context I’m not seeing.

    What has water, two kilometres away from the climate, got to do with climate change? It isn’t having any impact on the climate at all. Even if sea levels rise as a result of the glacier melting from underneath, or meltwater speeding up the glacier’s descent, they are not the result of climate change.

    Perhaps the water temperature may affect ocean currents and thus the climate, but they have much more work to do to establish any such cause or effect
