I don't think you should be too surprised by this.

Any executive negotiating incentivisation arrangements for him- or herself, and possessing even a mere modicum of market savvy-ness, would know how to play the game of under-promise and over-deliver.


This is an oft-watched movie.

PS. Besides the cost number, some of the asset growth and customer acquisition figures look like they are tracking ahead, too.
