A couple of years ago KEY had 50% interest in a block off Namibia in partnership with Pancontinental Oil & Gas (PCL).
KEY pulled out of the joint venture when finances got tight.
Since then PCL have hardly spent any money on the block but the general area has become hot property, just like the east coast of Africa.
The next door neighbour to this block has now released an assessment that their block possibly holds over 7 billion barrels of oil.
