I know this is a 'joke' site, but I was recently in both the U.K. and in just one country on the continent - meeting all kinds of people - the most adamantly pro-BREXIT in England was the child of Indian migrants who had grown up in the U.K. and his children were busily integrating into the 'professional' class (both at Uni, one doing Law, the other Business Studies) - the rest of the younger generation (who are great travellers) were pretty appalled by the prospect of going through all the extra hassle at airports etc. - my son-in-law for example has stopped working in the U.S. (he is a freelance musician) because of their restrictive visa conditions - same would happen with European countries.
On the continent: my friends I met (in Austria), who are a mix of conservative voters and lefties - were simply non-plussed and appalled at England's wish to leave. However, they did break into litanies of why EU regulations are sometimes a cumbersome albatross round some countrie's industries etc. - but essentially want the 'united Europe' to continue, Britain included.
The 'joke' in my opinion is that migrants, no matter in which country, once they're 'in' often seem to go for an ultra conservative stance - like just shutting the door behind themselves for anyone else who might like to do what they did - leave their god-forsaken country for a better life.
But that's human nature - I guess.
I apologise, this is a joke site - moderators please moderate, if I am out of bounds.
