The national drought I think has been well and truly broken. Cooper creek is 4 km wide in south west qld, it has been in flood for nearly 2 months despite this being the driest time of the year. My brother drove around those parts back in may/june in a 4wd and he said the majority of the dirt tracks were closed, and this was before the recent substantial rainfalls in the area. Because the catchments and streams were already saturated any extra rainfall just compounds the problem. What chance then of a tanker carrying how many thousand litres of oil getting along the tracks? SA transport department expects floods to take about 6 weeks to recede, and thats if there is no more rainfall.

Agree too with that sentiment bryos, I am optimistic there is value in the Trinidad deal, if only they could get it done.
