early days for PRZ but results r promising. grades are good but long way to go. promising that its shallow. means mining cheaper. depends on how much they have as well which is too early to say. need more detailed follow-up drilling which is the next step. hopefully get good results then. Thats my opinion anyway. examples of Cu grades in well established mines
Escondida 2,018Mt of copper sulphide ore at 1.24% total copper; 1,701Mt of low-grade copper sulphide ore at 0.55% total copper; and 290Mt of copper oxide ore at 0.73% acid-soluble copper. Proved and probable reserves are currently 3,900Mt. 34 year mine life.
Olympic Dam Olympic Dam had proved and probable ore reserves of 761Mt at 1.5% copper, 0.6kg/t U3O8 and 0.5g/t gold
Bingham Canyon Proven and probable open-pit reserves totalled 667Mt grading 0.54% copper, 0.043% molybdenum, 0.32g/t gold and 2.59g/t silver. Total open-pit and underground mineral resources were 960Mt at 0.7% copper, 0.3g/t gold, 0.03% moly and 3.1g/t silver.
KGHM Mineable reserves of 793.03Mt averaging 2.25% copper and 59g/t silver, while economic reserves totalled 1,422.4Mt at 1.92% Cu and 51g/t Ag
These examples are some of the biggest operations in the world for companies like BHP. have a look at infomine.com and look these up if interested
