None of the management have any "hands on" experience in mining.
Their skills appear to be in banking and financial consulting.
If that be the case they should have the negotiating capacity to be able to structure a deal with the zinc asset and create a bag of cash for the development of OptiFlox system and the associated product range.
There is an enormous chasm between to the two products and imo they need to deal with the Zeehan project this month and announce a deal to dispose of the asset.
The alternative is to develop the asset which means a CR to raise an awful lot of cash, then finding the right people to develop the project and then all the logistics of being able to get the material to market and find a customer. Too hard. They do not have the skills. There only choices are to sell the lease or go into a deal where they get a royalty from the prospective buyer.
They need the cash as I think raising funds with the share price at its current levels would be a difficult exercise.
If they sell the asset and use the cash to fast track OptiFlox and the add on products, it would then give the company a clear focus moving forward.
Will be interesting to see what happens, I personally do not think they have a choice, hang onto the asset and then costs will blow out before any return and could potentially drag the company to its knees.
They must sell whilst the zinc market price is in their favour - if that begins to drop the value of the project becomes relatively worthless.
The other factor is that no one will buy a resource that is not JORC compliant. This should have been sorted out some time ago. All very well saying they know it is there - that sounds like the pitch of a used car salesman.
This month will demonstrate whether these guys are the real deal.
At this point I am taking on the positive approach suggesting they will sell the asset and them release following up announcements outline the ongoing development of OptiFlox.
