Well, there you go...946 announced at last! And a lazy 1.7B indicated resource (just the start), from just the northern portion of the licence. This project is now called the "Zambeze Project"
Some of the more relevant facts in the announcement:
* Strike length over 14 kms * 22 coal seams outcropping * ANOTHER potential tier one project (that now makes 2. How many tier one projects can one company have??) * Same coal as Benga (eg world class export hard coking coal = premium price) * Significantly large scale operation than Benga * Tenement has flat topography * Direct access to the Zambeze river * Large scale open pit development
Plus extra large fries!!
ANOTHER IMPORTANT APPOINTMENT:
The appointment of David Lawrence - extensive large open pit experience with BHP BMA coal jv in Queensland.
BARGING:
It is viable..." no physical impediments to coal barging down the Zambeze River..."
At $15 p/t by barge v. $30 by rail, that is a huge, huge saving that goes straight to profit.
DYOR.
Cheers, Skip
