Well, SHO has set itself the goal of growing its combined community size to 1 billion people by December this year ...and my goodness ...today's announcement of a strategic partnership with Africa marketing partner, YuuZoo, has them off the blocks running.

YuuZoo is a dominant social platform in the African continent and brings with it immediate access to a community of over 100 million football fans!

Plus, notably, a collaboration with pre-eminent Nigerian broadcaster, the Nigerian Television Authority:

NTA runs the largest television network in Nigeria with stations in several parts of the country. NTA and YuuZoo air a prime time television show every Wednesday and will use this medium to promote African continent competitions on SportsHero’s platform. This powerful broadcast platform, combined with the popularity of the show will help drive engagement and new users on the SportsHero platform.


This a a great follow up to the Spartan Sports partnership. As I recall, Spartan's brand ambassadors, world cricketing legends like Sachin Tendulkar, MS Dhoni, Michael Clarke and Chris Gayle, have in excess of 90 million social media followers between 'em.

I like this approach of including populous nations like Africa and India in the world-wide roll-out.
