SFR has a resource (as I understand) that is 400m underground .... now that is a very time consuming and expensive resource to mine. Compare that to an "at" or "near surface" Yellowstone resource that is........ (1) close to transportation and high power transmission lines (2) close proximity to the world's largest consumer of copper ..... China!
"China consumes approximately 40% of the world's copper, making it by far the most important end market for the yellow metal. Copper prices are at near record highs currently (in mid-2011) a large part due to the strong demand from China, as well as flattening mine production of copper." - (reference - http://bit.ly/qnyXVN)
560,000 tonnes is a 5.6 billion dollar 'in ground' resource. Not bad when you consider........ (1) Proving the depth, area and grade still continues with a constant drilling program. (2) I have heard rumours of current grades of copper in core samples being as high as 8%. Now I stress these are rumours and yet to be confirmed. However, if these rumours are only half true, it certainly lends support to Yellowstone being an outstanding resource. Let's wait for some confirmation before jumping the gun as 8% is really too good to be true IMO.
