No, I think that the way the outlook commentary was struck induced some knee-jerk selling (Somewhat irritatingly, there wasn't too much of it, mind)


Actually, on an unrelated note, your post provides a good segue into me relating an experience I had with the result when I was reconciling my BRG financial model.

I'm no great financial forecaster, but this result was simply uncanny: At just about every Pre-Tax line item in the P&L I was within $0.2m or $0.3m of the reported result.

I was very excited by it. One of life's little victories.

I even called my wife and my teenage kids around the computer to witness my grand accomplishment.

While the response had an unspoken, but discernable, "Meh, whatevs," tone about it, it still took a screen shot for posterity purposes. I reckon my grand kids will be more impressed one day.

Imagine that?
Accuracy to within $0.2 or $0.3m!


(Of course, I was waaayy out on the geographic segmentals, meaning there were a few.. uh ... perfectly compensating errors, but no one needs to know that.)
