Yes on market they could slowly soak upto 5%(even using different entities to 4.99% etc)
Is it easier to take over a well-held company or one spread over hundreds of smaller retail holders ..hard to know whats easy to take out>>
Generally, mergers and takeovers come from the biggest holders or from them selling out to the predator first before an offer the mgmt agree too>>
..but as we know in WWI case more likely we would have an offer on market for a controlling stake directly to all holders to gain the 51% etc..
Or of course, we see the SA assets purchased for a pretty penny
As to SP weakness, I think we have had the likes of NRPL cashing up shares they received for the Pilbara assets along with others that got in cheaper levels via SPP-Insto/spohs>> ???? or can someone fill in the blanks to who got or took up the bulk of the 250mill extra shares over the last year.
the other day when I got myself just over 1mill it was filled mostly in one 900k order then as I completely took out the 2c level another 800k order was dropped down IMHO its the same seller of size ...
