That's a bit harsh. Many brokers would have pushed a BUY on many many stocks over the last few weeks. Not many expected BREXIT - so perhaps emotion drove your statement? Yes the price action sucks, but to blame the brokers (IF) they did make a call last week seems a little irrational..
