Mining isn't my bag (im on the processing side) so no idea how much it would cost. It may be cheaper but in the current environment their payback on $500mil would still be 4 years (assuming 2.5mtpa, 85% recoveries and 10c/lb margin). If they can prove higher margins then it starts to look far more attractive very quickly.
Attractive yes but still gotta get someone on board to chuck in the 500million in a depressed market
