Hills has been involved in electronics, security, TV Systems, Satellite, Pay TV for many many years.
Read the media articles and if you hadnt followed them for years you would be thinking Ted Pretty has transformed them into some amazing information Technology company.
The fact is that many of these business units within Hills have existed for a long time, yet Ted wishes to claim the transformation.
Who in their right mind would set up a "call centre" with transient non-technical people in a world where you need true nerds and longevity of staff.
Who would out source the warehousing to a company that would take 2 weeks to deliver what should be delivered in 1 or 2 days?
Who would trash all management with technical skill and know how and employ ex telstra staff and ex internet security staff that think they know everything about everything.
No wonder the share price is where it is, back to where it was 2 years ago when Ted Pretty started.
As has been stated many times, it is one thing to cut costs, sell non-performing assets, cut businesses to the bone, employ buddies from previous lives, but it is another thing to manage and operate efficiently the existing businesses let alone grow them.
Time to go Ted and all the Cronies that you employed that created this destruction.
The trouble is the longer he stays the harder it will be to return any business back.
You have not created any shareholder wealth at all, forget the spin Ted when are you actually going to create some shareholder growth and wealth??
Cheers
