Just a caveat about bornite. I said that it was a mineral in the transition/supergene zone, and that is probably wrong. I
from further reading done, it appears to coincide with chalcopyrite.

This is an extract from a proactive investors article 15/10/15 re SFR.

Sandfire said that the primary mineralisation in TLDD0026 is similar to previous holes in the Lower Zone but also contains variable amounts of bornite, a copper mineral which has not previously been encountered by the company in any significant quantities at Doolgunna.

Bornite typically has a copper content of around 63% by mass compared with chalcopyrite‘s copper content of around 35% by mass.

Bornite is an important copper mineral and commonly occurs in VMS deposits globally, along with the more common copper mineral; chalcopyrite.

Exploration upside The discovery of Monty, when combined with Sandfire’s DeGrussa complex of deposits provides genuine proof of concept for the potential of the region to host multiple clusters or “camps” of highgrade, high-value Volcanogenic Massive Sulphide (VMS) mineralisation.

With an estimated resource grade of 9.4% copper (see “Mineral Resource and Ore Reserve estimates” section) combined with spectacular bornite mineralisation not seen at DeGrussa, Monty represents a separate mineralising event within the Doolgunna region and the Bryah Basin. This further demonstrates the diversity of the ore forming systems in these exceptionally high value and prospective mining districts.
