    pffft.

    I challenge B to substantiate his astonishing claim scientifically.

    Here's the thing - I have over a dozen years experience looking at gold and base metal deposits au naturale. i can determine a vein paragenesis even from a photo. i can look at a very, very green stick of mafic rock and determine it is not;
    a) the high-temperature sericite-talc-chloritoid (or whatever) stringer zone beneath a V(H)MS
    b) it is not massive sulfide - do you think that if the company had hit a stick of massive sulphide (even if massive pyrite) it would not have shown a photo? Look at RVR's diamond drill hole exposee's for hat a real V(H)MS looks like; this is not it
    c) bornite is not the mineral you are looking for; bornite is more usually a high-temperature copper sulphide in the deep root zones of IOCG and porphyry-copper and, occasionally, reduced endoskarns around plutons. It's not a typical VMS mineral; an elementary grasp of the P-T-T fSO4 conditions of VMS alteration wuld let you in on that secret
    d) the science is there; the last mineral to be deposited is the bornite; the quartz comes first. This is epigenetic mineralisation, plain as day, and if you cant see that then no swing no foul; if the companys geologists can't see it then what the hell are they making couched and qualified statements about VMS's for aside from to keep the dream alive for clueless and scientifically illiterate inestors? Where in Pirajno's and Hawke et al's and whoever else you lean upon wealy for third-hand barely understood scientific cachet is multistage quartz veining an essential part of VMS systems? Point to it on the diagrams.
    e) Epigenetic low-sulfur mineralisation isn't bad; I've been considering the few times I've seen chalcocite and bornite and, indeed, low-Fe sphalerite before. often these minerals are dark and easily overlooked in dark rocks (or low-Fe sphalerite in yellow sandstone is a real doozy). So maybe they'll be lucky and it might even get above 0.6% Cu!

    Ultimately, the company has presented absolutely NO evidence to support their claim this is VH(M)S mineralisation. There's nothing massive about this. Even Monty, which is a mere skidmark of chalco and bornite smeared in the buttcrack of Simich's "corridor of riches", is massive sulphide. This is widely disseminated sulphide.

    If you want to keep dreaming the dream, at least dream of Thaduna. or at best, the copper in the fault under Abra which is like, 20Mt at a percent. If you find that here, 800m closer to surface, then you're laughing.
