Yeah, I spotted that too BBV.
The VIP shareholder subscribed (via a sub-underwriter) whereas the Somers issue of shares was to happen 'once cleared funds are received'.
I take all that to mean that:
1. Somers was always going to carry out its side of the bargain and was waiting on the sub-u to get sorted before acting, and
2. An existing shareholder (the VIP one?) stuffed the co around and only came good either upon learning something about the drilling (I hope not) or realised that it/he had a moral or legal commitment to pay up after being pressured for a couple of weeks. Given the long delay that the co had late last year with Investmet's initial investment (remember?) and the disruption that it caused, it would not surprise if Investmet is the 'prominent professional and sophisticated shareholder'.
