Who said that the chalcocite veining was more akin to Thaduna than DeGrussa?

    Hmmm. I wonder.

    Nope, not remembering.

Anyway, I agree with this mystery person who looked at the vein with late quartz and chalcocite infill and began to doubt that it was a VHMS mineralised system (you'll note that AUR hasn't pushedd the VHMS word in that announcement; they must be coming to this realisation). This is late, late, late epigenetic mineralisation. it's likely a fault-hosted breccia. The magnetite alteration in the Ravelstone also is unlikely to be VHMS.

What does this mean? The diamond core will take a bit longer to log, they will get a structural wonk in to write a report, and they will resort to deeper diamond drilling on a new orientation to intersect a new structurally hosted vein chalcocite-bornite-covellite deposit in the volcanics and sediments.

Eg, if the mineralised vein is cutting across E-W, then the E-W oriented drilling might be pinging the edges of the mineralisation.

Just some guy's prediction. Overall no bonanza but with a bit of a rethink of the model here, the outlook is actually good. Just doesn't ring the ASX buzzword bell for "DeGrussa".
