My sense of tight reservoirs is that each one is different and it takes a lot of trial and error to get it right.

The crews and gear in the area around the Rex well are doing similar holes on a regular basis. Messina said the frack crew did the perforations overnight and because the horizontal was so even and regularly spaced were doing two fracks an hour. Thus they finished the fracking in 36 hours. Skilled and experienced.

All this on again off again stuff in Australia means it is going to be slow and expensive and often not be optimised. Victoria has banned drilling, let alone fracking.
