cost to buyer = shipping + FOB sale price
or cost to buyer = shipping + FOB cost + IFE profit.
cost to buyer is always going to be be around spot price.
so spot price= shipping + FOB cost + IFE profit.
so as shipping prices go up and down IFE's profit goes up and down.
The confusion above is from where the shipping price fits in.
Is it paid out of the FOB sales price at a cost to IFE
OR
Is it paid on top of the FOB sales price at no cost to IFE
either way it impacts the total cost to the end buyer and there fore the profit margin of IFE. (IMO - the whole post)
