The drop in headgrade is not good news. Yes, recoveries have improved, however, it would be interesting to see the impact this significant drop in headgrade has on (a) capital cost of processing plant - assuming they are still chasing the same throughput, lower headgrade typically means “bigger and more gear” to get the same throughput, (b) life of mine, and (c) operating cost.
The project’s NPV will get some free kick from the increased recoveries, no doubt. However, my concern is that the significant drop in headgrade will have a substantial negative impact.
I am still bullish on CZI though. One of the best run junior explorers on the ASX.
