That report said the attack happened between Gayeri and Foutouri.
I've been able to locate Gayeri on GoogleEarth. Foutouri is harder to find but should be in the general vicinity of the pin on my map.
Zorgho is a large town which sits on the eastern boundary of WAF's Sanbrado tenement package on a main road and is about 20km north east of the proposed mine site.
The distance between Zorgho and Gayeri as the crow flies is 130km so the attack occurred more than 150km from the proposed mine site.
If this is the same attack, I think the RR "50km" comment was poorly researched or sensationalist. Esh
